We started recording some sounds this week and the first sounds that we would record would be sounds that you would hear when a student wakes up, such as having a shower, going to the toilet, brushing your teeth, pouring milk into cereal etc., Callum and Sean would be doing the ‘acting’ for the sounds while Adam would be recording. The reason we had the roles like this is because Oliver broke his foot and therefore was unfortunately not able to assist with some of the early recording process because he was not able to walk about with the rest of the group. Adam would use a number of techniques including Close Micing. – Close Micing technique is a good technique because you can get a lot of detail from your sound as opposed to if you would record from a fair distance.
